The Department of Treasury will unveil a new $100 bill on April 21, 2010 to replace the old reliable Ben Franklin version, above.
We'd like to see your version of a new $100 bill. Be creative, add lots of color. And think historical, think memorable - Ben Franklin works, but so could James Buchanan, Davy Crockett or Oprah Winfrey.
Submit your original drawing or image of what you think the new $100 bill should look like. Then view the entries online and vote for your favorite. A judging panel will also view the entries and take into consideration the peoples' favorite choice.
There are two ways to enter, online or via snail mail. Submit your entry online here (by clicking the "Submission" tab) in .jpg format, or send your entry on a 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper to: The News Tribune, 1950 S. State Street, Tacoma WA 98405, Attn: $100 bill contest. Please don't enter both online and via snail mail (two entries).
All entries must have: Artist's name, age, address, e-mail and a daytime phone number.
You must be 18 years or older to submit an entry online. If you are under 18 years of age, you can have a parent or guardian enter for you.
Deadline for entry is April 9, 2010
